Film Series

The Realms of Forgiveness project will show three films at the University of Oregon School of Law, 1515 Agate St., room 175. All films are free. There will be an opportunity to discuss the film and its impact after each showing.

On Saturday, March 1st, at 2:00 p.m., we will show "Forgiving Dr. Mengele", the remarkable story of Auschwitz survivor and former 'Mengele twin' Eva Mozes Kor and the transformation that led her to forgive the Nazi perpetrators as an act of self-healing.

On Sunday, March 2nd, at 1:00 p.m. we will show "Beyond Conviction" which documents three separate stories in which the perpetrators of severe harm (two murders and one rape) and those who must deal with the consequences of those actions decide to meet in the prison setting, to face each other and their emotions, and to struggle with the confusion and pain of their relationships.

On Sunday, March 2nd, at 7:30 p.m. we will show "The Passion of Maria Elena", about a young woman from Mexico's Raramuri community who, following the hit-and-run death of her son, embarks on an eye-opening journey from grief to unexpected resolution.

We hope that you can join us for these powerful documentaries.
