Laurel Singer, M.S., L.P.C., has been in private practice as a mediator since 1991 assisting teams or stakeholder groups to design and implement the most effective process possible to resolve conflicts and make decision constructively and collaboratively. In addition to her private practice, Laurel currently serves as the Program Manager of Human Services with the Oregon Consensus Program at Portland State University. In her role, she works to foster the use of collaborative practices and approaches for addressing public policy issues in education, health care and other social services. Laurel brings over two decades of experience providing skill based training in mediation and conflict resolution on a national level, as well as having served as an adjunct professor in the Portland State University's Professional Development Program. Laurel draws on her in-depth understanding of interpersonal relationships and organizational systems gained through close to 20 years of experience as a licensed professional counselor specializing in systemic family treatment and crisis intervention. Her experience includes working at both the treatment and management level. She is an active member in the Oregon Mediation Association and served as a past board member with the organization for over six years.
